Worksite Earth

The Project

Worksite Earth is an omniconsiderate Joint Venture to heal and regenerate our world — the whole of it, treated as a single worksite, undertaken by one crew.

This page describes what the project is: its premise, its objective, how it is organized, and how the work moves from intention to ground. It is a living document, refined in the open as the undertaking takes shape.

The premise

We share one planet and one fate. That fact creates a de facto association and a shared responsibility — whether or not we have named it. Worksite Earth is an attempt to name it, organize it, and act on it deliberately, rather than leaving the repair of our common home to accident or to no one.

"The reality is that we are all here together, aboard one Earth."

The objective

The objective is Fuller's, stated plainly and taken seriously:

"To make the world work for 100% of [its inhabitants] in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offence or the disadvantage of anyone."

That is the standard the work is measured against — omniconsiderate by design: considering all people, all life, and the living systems we depend on.

How it is organized

As a basic starting point, We the Project Sponsors have organized ourselves and selected a Prime Contractor to manage the effort. From there, the undertaking is structured like any serious project — but operated as a commons.

The work is carried by a set of roles:

Role In brief
Witnesses Observe, attest to, and hold the integrity of the undertaking
Project Sponsors Initiate and stand behind the effort
Resource Pool The shared pool of people, capital, materials, and land
Prime Contractor Manages and coordinates the whole
Subcontractors Carry out defined portions of the work
Solutionaries Design and build the solutions
Local Communities Where the work lands, lives, and is accountable

See Roles for the working definitions.

How the work moves

The undertaking proceeds in overlapping movements, not rigid phases — each one public, each one revisable:

  1. Organize — convene sponsors, name roles, establish how decisions are made and how integrity is kept.
  2. Plan — define the work: what must be healed and regenerated, in what order, to what standard.
  3. Mobilize — gather the Resource Pool and match it to the work; engage Subcontractors and Solutionaries.
  4. Build & regenerate — do the work, in real places, with Local Communities, against the omniconsiderate standard.
  5. Witness & learn — measure honestly, attest publicly, and feed what we learn back into the plan.

Operated in the open

Worksite Earth is built as a commons, in public. The plan, the commitments, and the work are developed openly — written down, linked together, and refined over time. This site is that working record: follow the links, read the pages, and watch the structure emerge.

Current status

Early. The sponsors have organized and a Prime Contractor has been selected; the roles are a working frame still being defined together; the plan is being drafted in the open. This is the moment when how a thing is built matters most — and when new hands matter most.
